Nice mall. Although it looks expensive, this mall is actually quite affordable. You will also find all you need in the area.

The Block has convenient shopping locations. Renting a car is an easy and fun way for seniors to travel, especially to the Block.


The Block has many new restaurants and stores. There is also a great activity center for families.


We were a family of four who visited the restaurant for dinner. We ordered crab in salted egg, blue posts crab, seafood medley and garlic pork riblets. It is a pricey place indeed but when I saw the crabs, I was very happy. I am...used to small or medium sized crabs at home, and every four or five months at that, but the ones they served were huge and stuffed with meat. I was in crab heaven.  I enjoyed the crabs in blue posts sauce. My daughter found the salted egg crab too salty for her and I thought it was a little too spicy, but the rest of the family enjoyed it. My daughter loved the seafood medley sauce, as there was a lot of minced garlic. My husband put some of the sauce in each of our rice cups and it was delicious. The mussels and shrimp were good. The garlic pork riblets were crunchy, they tasted okay.  For drinks, I ordered Berry Guava from the Mixology menu. It went perfectly with my meal as it was sweet, offering a good contrast to the oily crab sauce.  Service was okay, ambience was nice, we enjoyed the Mr Bean reruns while waiting for our meal, and my family said the restroom is very nice and clean.  I will need to save up to go back for another visit, but I did make sure to enjoy every moment of my crab meal. If you re a crab lover and looking for a place to reward yourself, this is the perfect place.

After a long flight from the USA to Manila, my wife took me to Boiling crab and shrimp at SM the Block. At first appearances it looked a little small, but very normal in the Philippines. We ordered the garlic fried crab and  boiled lemon...shrimp. Once the food arrived in plastic bags, and you were given plastic gloves to eat with, I was  Taken back a little, but I like to experience new things.  Once I cracked open the crab and tasted the meat, oh my, it was very tasty. Only negative thing I would say about fried crab, spme of the meat sticks to the crab legs. The shrimp was next, a bit messy but tasted very good. The potatoes, the sausage also tasted very good. Over all, it was a fun and good experience eating with my hands, the food was very good and had a good tasted and flavor. I will go again and again. I would say this is a must try restaurant...

We are crab and shrimp lovers. On special occasions, Dampa is our go to place. For a family of 30, Six to Eight kilos of crab and 3 kilos of shrimp is not enough. Since we were in SM again, we tried this place for...a quick seafood fix. There were only 6 of us and we ordered Calamares, Sambal Shrimp, Shrimp in Garlic Butter Lemon Sauce and Crab in Salted Egg. Here s what I can say   Crab in Salted Egg   having used to eat in dampa, this was a bit disappointing. You won t taste the salted egg infuse in the crab. But if you get the scraps and put it in your rice, you will have a hard time refusing the rice.   Shrimp in Garlic Butter Lemon Sauce   this was so so for me. I can definitely taste the lemon but not much of the garlicky taste  Sambal Shrimp   this is the best one for me. I like how it was cooked and the taste is oh so delish! Definitely a must try.  Calamares   a little hard and chewy so I don t recommend this dish.  Overall, the food was okay but what I don t like is how you have to stand up to get and choose 3 types of vinegar (which I really don t like) and drinking water. I have to ask the servers for water refill several times because their cup was so small too. Since we are eating with our hands (or others with gloves), it was really a hassle to pour water from the pitcher yourself.

we tried their branch in sm north the block. we tried their sambal flavored shrimps and their native chicken. the food is good however there are many other restaurants with the same menu that taste better. be ready to eat with your own hands. of...course they will give you gloves.

Went here on my mom s recommendation. The restaurant s specialty is seafood, particularly crab and shrimp in a bag. You choose your seafood   whether crab or shrimp or a mix. Choose your add ons (corn, two types of sausage, rice), choose your flavor  and the degree...of hotness We ordered shrimp with sausage, in salted egg, mild in hotness, with rice and some wings. We did not order crabs as we were on our way to watching a movie and did not want to smell like crab in an otherwise enclosed space.  The shrimp was good. Good for 2 3 persons. Batter they used was light, the spices were nicely balanced, lending to a very flavorful dish. The wings were so so. Their coke was also very flat.  They also serve other seafood options like tuna.  Overall, if you re looking for a novelty way of eating your seafood, as their food comes in a bag, this is the restaurant for you.
