About Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center

Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center was founded in 1964 purposely to provide the necessary health needs of Marikina and the adjoining towns and municipalities of Rizal province. Through the years, the hospital became fully departmentalized and equipped with services in the field of Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Surgery, Anesthesia, their subspecialty, and Ancillary services such as Pathology, Radiology, and Dental Services. It was upgraded into a Medical Center in 1995.

It caters not only to the people of Marikina but also to the neighboring towns of Rizal, like Antipolo, San Mateo, Cainta, Rodriguez, Pasig City, Quezon City, and other parts of Metro Manila and other provinces. Since this hospital is the nearest medical center in the Eastern part of Rizal, it becomes the referral center for more complicated cases.

This hospital was the place where my father passed away. The staff didn't do anything except send him to Dialysis Center immediately. On the 22nd of January, my father was taken to OPD at 4am for an examination. They also provided vital signs and blood transfusions to help his condition. On the 24th of January my father was unable respond.

It took 3 days for a CT scan result to be available. The service was poor, especially from the senior staff.

This hospital was founded with humble beginnings. It has grown to become a major health care provider, caters for many residents of Rizal marikina as well as other nearby communities.

The nurses told me that I should come by 9 AM for the ultrasound results. I arrived early, but I was made to wait at 3 PM to see what they had written. I felt very frustrated with their service.

They brought my brother to the hospital after he was struck by a car. He sustained serious injuries but was not properly assisted. After two hours, his wounds were exposed.
