San Agustin Church Manila reviews

(It was my first visit to a church, and I decided to stop by because of some reasons. Yaba! W I am going diagonally over my imagination. The Manila Cathedral is just a short walk away. (

It is a beautiful place. It is so quiet and serene to pray.

This is a place I would not recommend to anyone. People and place are very unchristian. Our family is Catholic and we just wanted to enter to pray. We were refused entry without having to pay an entrance fee. It is very sad that a sacred place such as this places money above prayer and devotion.

Back in the 90 s, San Agustin Church and Museum was my first museum experience. Church was good and very historical, museum was somewhat eerie in some areas, but I enjoyed touring around. This may be more aptly called a venue place for events like weddings and baptisms than an actual church. This is a church where you have to pay an entrance fee to get into, and don t forget the overpriced parking fee! Very shameful

) It is a slightly larger cathedral than the Manila Cathedral. If you are only going to visit one of the two, we recommend the Augustine Cathedral. (

It is so beautiful

Built in 1571, this church is the oldest in the Philippines. It was also a model before it was made from stone in 1607. The amazing interior features Trompe loeil art that makes you think the ceilings and walls are sculpted.

It s a great craft beer bar and ice cream shop inside casa Augustin garden Love the vibe and they serve freshly made pop corns to go with the beer They have dark pale ale stout The flavors for ice cream are ube avocado and sweet corn
