Salcedo Park is a small urban community park with 0.7-hectare (1.7-acre). It is situated in a mixed residential and commercial zone between Leviste Street and Tordesillas Street to the north and south and between Velasquez Street and Toledo Street to the east and west. It has several residential skyscrapers, including Salcedo Place, Paseo Heights, and more.
It was named after the former director of Ayala Corporation and one of the chief implementors of the development of the Makati CBD, Col. Jaime Camacho Velasquez. The park features a trellised walkway on one side of the park, a grassy lawn, a children's playground, and stone benches. It also has a Bel-Air tanod office, hosts a community center, and a satellite clinic with public restrooms.
It has Salcedo Weekend Market, which was conceptualized in 2004. It is open every Saturday from 7 am to 2 pm and is one of the weekend markets in Makati. The other market is Legazpi Sunday Market in Legazpi Active Park, San Lorenzo Village, which operates every Sunday.
Jaime C. Velasquez Park, commonly referred to as Salcedo Park, is a pocket park in Makati, Metro Manila, the Philippines. It is one of four pockets of greenery located in the central business district within Salcedo Village in barangay Bel-Air. The park is the site of a popular weekend market called the Salcedo Community Market. It is also the main venue of the bi-annual contemporary art fair called Art in the Park.
