NAIA Terminal 1, known as Ninoy Aquino Terminal, is the oldest terminal in Manila Airport and can accommodate 6 million passengers per year. It was completed in 1981 to accommodate the country's growing international passenger traffic levels during the 1970s.
It operates several international services and flights except for those operated by Cebu Pacific Air, PAL Express, Philippine Airlines, All Nippon Air (ANA), Delta Air Lines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Emirates Airline, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific Airways.
There are Store Outlet situated right after the Departure Immigration Area and the Arrival Area of Terminal 1 NAIA, where passengers can avail of last-minute shopping of duty and tax-free merchandise. They can choose from a wide variety of perfumes, chocolates, snacks, leather goods, watches, liquor, wines, cigarettes, and cigars without worrying about confiscation or excess baggage.
NAIA Terminals 1 also has concessionaires at the pre-boarding areas with smoking rooms for their clients. Other smoking areas are outside the building.
