By not charging an entrance fee,the museum allows more people to appreciate art pieces and learn more about Philippines history through the masterpieces that are desplayed.
Those who want to visit the museum must pre-book online at least one day before the preferred schedule. There’s a limit of up to 100 visitors only PER SESSION. Note that walk-in visitors will not be permitted.
Founded in 1998, it was formerly known as the National Art Gallery and is owned and operated by the National Museum of the Philippines. Its collection includes works by artists such as Juan Luna, Félix Resurrección Hidalgo and Guillermo Tolentino.
It is an educational, scientific and cultural institution that acquires, documents, preserves, exhibits, and fosters scholarly study and public appreciation of works of art, specimens, and cultural and historical artifacts representative of the unique cultural heritage of the Filipino people and the natural history of the Philippines.
The National Museum of Fine Arts is home to 29 galleries and hallway exhibitions comprising of 19th century Filipino masters, National Artists, leading modern painters, sculptors, and printmakers.

It acquires and preserves artifacts and specimens that are representative of the rich cultural heritage of the Philippines and the country's natural history. The National Museum Complex in Manila and the National Planetarium are its museums. There is also a number of regional museums located in important locations throughout the country. These include cultural heritage fine arts and anthropology as well as archaeology and natural science botany. It also conducts permanent research in the fields of biodiversity, geological and human history, marine and underwater cultural heritages, ethnology and art history and other cultural property that are moveable or immovable.
