St. Jude General Hospital & Medical Center (SJGHMC), a non-sectarian institution, was established in honor of St. Jude Thaddeus depicting the true Christian spirit with the end in view of augmenting the nursing and health needs of Filipino in consonance with the programs of the Department of Health.

It started in 1950 as St. Jude Clinic and Maternity with 12 beds capacity, founded by Dr. Ramon D. Atienza Jr., an Internist-Cardiologist and his wife Dr. Felicidad Calip-Atienza, an OB Gynecologist, to render medical and maternity services.

"St. Jude General Hospital & Medical Center, Inc. has been providing professional and affordable health care for more than fifty (50) years. It is licensed by the Department of Health (DOH) to operate as a Tertiary Hospital."
