Akiko Thomson Swim School

Akiko Thomson is a  3-time Olympiad and SEA Games Gold medalist and is the founder of the swim school. She is a firm believer that swimming should be accessible to all as it is a life skill.

Akiko envisions the inclusion of swimming as a form of therapy for children with special needs and infant swimming in her classes.

Akiko Thomsons Swim School teaches swimming to kids ages 5 to high school. They also teach adults who are just learning to swim and advanced swimmers. It is based in Colegio de San Agustin, in Dasmarinas Village, Makati City.

FAQFrequently Asked Questions: My almost 4-year-old child has been swimming since she was a baby. Is he/she allowed to join the Guppies Swim Program? We will take in any child under four years of age as long they can swim alone with the coach. The coach can help you decide if your child is able to join our class. I have special needs for my child. Are they able to sign up for the swimming programs? Yes, we are able to take beginners adults.

To have greater privacy, adults sign up to private lessons. Some parents take their children to swim lessons, and the experience becomes an opportunity for family bonding. Are you able to teach triathletes? Our program is specifically designed for competitive swimmers. We can also refer you to other coaches who are experts in the field.
