It is a small park within the boundaries of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Malate Manila built-in 1584 during the Colonization of Spain. It is a triangular fortification that serves as a protection and a rearguard of the place.
The Spanish used it as a gun powder depot, transformed into a garrison by the British when the British invaded Manila in 1762, fell into the Americans in 1898, and eventually into Japanese control in WW2. It was restored in 1972 and is now a beautiful little park enclosed within the confines of the Central Bank of the Philippines.
