The vast majority of the collection is held at the Shoe Museum, 749 pairs to be exact, was from Marcos&rsquo; personal wardrobe and has placed a portrait of her near her collection as well.&nbsp;

All shoes in the Museum are treated with the utmost care, and most are kept in dust-free and moisture-free glass cabinets to preserve them in perfect condition.

Initially called&nbsp;Footwear Museum of Marikina, the Shoe Museum was constructed in 1998 and opened in 2001 as an homage to the city&rsquo;s title as &lsquo;the Shoe Capital of the Philippines&rsquo;. This building has a fascinating history as it used to be an arsenal during the Spanish times and a detention cell during the&nbsp;American-Filipino War. Later on, the Americans converted it into a motor pool but converted it into a rice mill by the Tuason family after World War II. Marikina Museum houses the shoes of famous personalities, including pairs from former presidents of the Philippines and former Mayors of Marikina, government officials and cabinet secretaries, celebrities, movie stars, ambassadors, and well-known politicians, including senators. San Sebastian Church

Designed and built by Jesuit priest Antonio Sede&ntilde;o from 1586 to 1587, it is one of the oldest stone fortifications in Intramuros. Began as a circular fort called Nuestra Se&ntilde;ora de Guia, renovated in 1953 to join the walls of the city. Fort fell in despair and in 1614, construction began for a new Baluarte which was completed between 1653 and 1663. Resembling an ace of spades, it housed a foundry during the 18th century.

The Baluarte was breached by British forces with cannon fire in 1762. Restored and strengthened after British occupation but was damaged during the 1863 earthquake. It was destroyed during the Battle of Manila in 1945. Restoration began in 1979 and was completed in 1992.

It is a small park within the boundaries of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Malate Manila built-in 1584 during the Colonization of Spain. It is a triangular fortification that serves as a protection and a rearguard of the place.

The&nbsp;Manila American Cemetery and Memorial&nbsp;in the&nbsp;Philippines&nbsp;honor the American and allied service members who died fighting the Japanese in World War II. In addition, the Cemetery offers repose to soldiers who died in the Pacific theater, including the Philippines, New Guinea, and the Pacific islands.

The graves include those of 16,636 Americans and 570 Philippine Scouts who served in the Pacific theater. 3,744 unidentified soldiers also rest within the grounds of the American Cemetery.

It is marked by white marble headstones set in a circular pattern on gently sloping grounds. The graves are arranged around a circular structure that includes a white chapel and two hemicycles that honor the war&#39;s many missing servicemen.

The cemetery is open daily to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except December 25 and January 1.&nbsp;A valid photo ID is required for entrance to the Cemetery.

The island of Binondo was purchased in 1594 by the Spanish Governor, then given over as an area for Christian Chinese to settle. As a result, Binondo outgrew the other missions, evolved into a town, and became the center of Chinese integration into Manila&#39;s Hispanic, Christian society. Soon after the foundation of Binondo, the Church of Binondo was built in its first iteration. As hoped by the missionaries, the Church was a central institution in the community.

Popularly known as Binondo Church, the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of San Lorenzo Ruiz was established by the Dominicans in 1596 and initially dedicated to Saint Gabriel the Archangel who became Binondo&rsquo;s patron until the mid-19th century. It is also known as Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish as it venerates the Blessed Virgin Mary as Binondo&rsquo;s patroness from the early 1700s up to the present.

With its Modern Spanish style built in Art Deco, adapting the latest technique in building reinforced concrete, the church&#39;s architectural design is composed of Romanesque and Gothic, measuring 85&times;40 meters and a height of 25 meters.

An Italian sculptor designed the bas-relief of this church, and the front of the church contains planes with leaves. You can also see the story of the La Naval as you set your eyes over the portals of the church.

A secret vault holds thousands of artifacts given by its fervent devotees. Unfortunately, thieves made it hidden from everyone and only showed off the artifacts fit for public viewing. Nick Joaquin, a devotee of La Naval, donated a medallion before his death in 2004, and placed the medallion on the foot of La Naval.&nbsp;
