La Mesa Ecopark was part of the 2,700-hectare La Mesa Watershed, the primary source of drinking water for Metro Manila residents, with 2,000 hectares of which are forested land. It is one of the Metro’s last forests that provide clean air to the city and preserve endemic flora and fauna.
The eco-park has a five-hectare picnic ground with grilling facilities a Salt Water Swimming Pool Complex, which uses salt granules instead of chlorine for a safer and less toxic swim. If you enjoy jogging or biking, you can find solace in walking along the tree-lined paths or going on an adventure along the 1.2 km mountain bike trail.
La Mesa Ecopark only accepts 100 people every day. It operates from 6 a.m to 3 p.m. daily, except on Tuesdays. Therefore, visitors must book and reserve ahead of time. There is no entrance fee, but a minimum donation for the maintenance of P40/head is encouraged.
La Mesa Watershed and Ecopark is a public park that allow visitors to jog, walk, and meditate surrounded by high trees, fresh air, and relaxing scenery.
