Ayala Land created Washington SyCip Park in 2006. It was presented to SyCip on his 85th birthday in June 2006 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Philippine business community. In 2017, the park went through a seven-month renovation and finished in December.
It was developed by the City of Makati, Ayala Land Incorporated, Barangay San Lorenzo, the Makati Commercial Estate Association (MACEA), and Washington SyCip's SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co., the largest accounting and consulting firm in the Philippines. The headquarters of MACEA is situated on the northern edge of the park.
The Washington Sycip Park is a green oasis near the Greenbelt mall in Legaspi village. The park boasts of many tropical trees and exotic plants. The park also has cozy nooks like gazebos, benches etc where you can take a few moments of peace from the hustle bustle of the city. There is even a koi pond where exotic birds flock and a music system that adds to the ambiance of the park.
