28 Derby is the result of a simple goal to create a bakery that would bridge the gap between cheap, commercial brands and high-end artisanal bakeries. Like other established names in the industry, it started as a home service providing sourdough bread to neighbors and family, then slowly made its way into cafes and restaurants. They added staples and favorites to their collection, including croissants, ciabatta, sweets, and brioche.

How 28 Derby was founded 28 Derby was born out of the simple desire to build a bakery that could bridge the gap between commercial and high-end artisanal bakeries. Our humble bakery began as a small service that provided sourdough bread for neighbors and their families. It then gradually grew into a business providing food and coffee in restaurants and cafes. We added many favorite items to our menu, including croissants, ciabatta and brioche. We look forward to sharing our passion for high quality breads with you.
