Casa Buenas, literally translated as ‘good house,’ features the best of Filipino Spanish food with a Bahay na Bato-inspired architecture and a welcoming casual Filipino fine dining service.
Located on the ground floor of Hotel Okura, it takes advantage of the high ceilings to create a spacious, homey ambiance with capiz wall fixtures, solihiya furniture, hand-carved hardwood floors, Machuca tiles, and modern chandelier centerpieces.
Like a classic Filipino ancestral home, guests are welcomed at the Sala. In this cozy lounge, one can enjoy delightful tapas such as the intriguing shrimp isaw (an interesting take on a Filipino street food favorite) or a charcuterie platter that is good for sharing, paired with any signature cocktails from the adjoining bar, Aguador.
They also serve a special concocted menu that includes appetizers such as Asian-inspired Kumot (a flattened version of Asian spring rolls), tuna tartare kilawin bathed in rich coconut cream, and pinakurat (spiced vinegar); and the sizzling shrimp gambas. They have the Sinulog (roasted chicken with Cebu’s lechon stuffing) and the perfectly stewed callos de Monserrat for the main dish and take pleasure in the grilled US Angus rib-eye steak, Iberico pork jowl, and the grilled Kurobuta pork chops.
Casa Buenas is the newest and finest signature restaurant of Resorts World Manila offering Filipino cuisine with Spanish influences.
