About Us Established in early 1980s, Finale Art File has been a leading gallery in the Philippines and showcased many exhibits from some of the best names in modern visual arts. The gallery has managed to balance the needs of both a commercial venue and an artistic one. It occasionally features experimental pieces that challenge expectations and push artistic boundaries. Finale has been holding its shows at the Twin Galleries of SM Megamall in Makati City for over 20 years. Finale relocated to Warehouse 17 La Fuerza Compound Gate 1, Makati City, in November 2008.
This bold move affirmed Finale's status as an exciting center for art and design in Asia-Pacific. The new area measures 450 square meters and is split into Tall Gallery, Upstairs Gallery, and Video Room. Tall Gallery, in both floor area and cubic space, is the most spacious of its type. Large paintings, sculptures, and installations can now be accommodated in the Tall Gallery, which is unlike Finale's other locations.
The library is available for use, as well as a storeroom that allows visitors to browse through an extensive collection of artworks. Finale's collection of artists can be as varied as the art. The gallery continues to showcase the works of many modern masters, who are now considered classics. The gallery also represents sculptors and printmakers, as well as artists at the peak of their careers.
Some of these individuals sometimes exhibit in bold exhibitions that defy classification. This is due to the gallery's willingness to try new things, no doubt. Finale also serves as a platform for emerging artists. Many of these young artists are making their debuts here.
Finale gives Filipino artists the freedom and space to be themselves. Finale hosts large-scale, ambitious exhibits at larger venues in the Philippines and overseas several times a year. This is a sign of Finale's dedication to art accessibility. Finale is also available to appraise and document for private collectors as well as seasonal auctions, package artist talks, and forum discussions.
Finale also has published many art catalogs and books. Finale Art File is a far cry from a kiosk in a mall selling works on paper, to being one of the most prestigious galleries in the Philippines.
