About Vinyl on Vinyl Gallery

Vinyl on Vinyl Gallery was established in 2009 by Gaby Dela Merced. It was borne out of the desire to bring more appreciation and awareness to what was then an underground culture. It is dedicated to featuring artists seeking a showcase venue and exploring their craft.
Its mission was to bring locals who were often rejected by the mainstream to international and local exhibits of peripheral art forms. The gallery developed artists' careers through the years and solidified its unique identity. It continues to influence the Philippine art history course by taking intuitive risks, opening new genres, and pushing the boundaries that redefine art.

Vinyl on Vinyl is an eclectic venue merging art, toys and music in one space. The art gallery is dedicated to featuring modern-day pop culture artists seeking to find a venue to showcase and explore their art amidst the conformities of the norm. The gallery space reflects the lifestyle and passion of its artists influenced by contemporary art, pop surrealism, underground, street art and other emerging genres are also explored.

VINYL ONVINYL VINYL ONVINYL Vinyl On Vinyl is dedicated for artists who seek a space to exhibit and discuss their art in a world that has too many traditional forms of art. In 2009, the gallery was founded out of a desire to increase awareness and appreciation of what was at that time an underground culture. The gallery's purpose was to showcase local art and bring in international artists. The name of the company recalls its origins as a distributor of vinyl records and toys. Today, it still strives to celebrate its musical heritage by including sound art in its programming.

Vinyl on Vinyl has evolved to include artistic practices that revolve around post-internet and kinetic art as well as other new and unknown genres. It is open to creative experimentation. The gallery's artists are interested in using unconventional methods for destroying and reusing canvas. They also use social media as performance art and soft sculpture.

The gallery's unique identity has been solidified over the years and it has helped to develop artists careers. It has grown beyond its limits and continues to shape the history of Philippine art by offering new styles, making intuitive mistakes, and pushing boundaries that define art. VOV Studio was established alongside Vinyl on Vinyl Gallery. It is an exploration of client and artist together that transcends the walls of the gallery.

The studio is rooted in the spirit of both the local and international art scene, a nationally and internationally acclaimed artist roster, and dedicated staff behind the scenes. It aims to produce and bring to life innovative, border-pushing art that challenges, inspires and raises questions. We have a variety of projects, including large-scale murals and art installations. VOV Studio is committed to making contemporary art accessible to all, with the larger goal of inspiring a greater community.

Consultations are held to help clients connect with artists and facilitate the process of finding artist that is right for them. Email us at emailprotected for more info on Vinyl on Vinyl Studio. Vov Studio
