About The Smokeyard

The Smokeyard was opened on June 13, 2016. It is a labor of love by owner and pitmaster Troy Conine, who has dedicated most of his career as a hotel restaurant manager, including stints at the Tivoli at the Mandarin Oriental Manila and hotels in New York City before going to barbeque school and training under legendary pitmaster Mike Mills in Southern Illinois.

After moving back to Manila, he set up this casual dining American BBQ Smokehouse serving low and slow smoked meats including Baby Back Ribs, Pork Belly, Pulled Pork, US Brisket, Beef Ribs, chicken and sausages, in-house barbecue sauces, and a selection of craft beers.

The place is perfect for hungry tummies or those who want a mouthful of sumptuous meats rubbed and smoked to perfection. You can order these meats in small portions (50 grams), so you could try a little bit of many things. 

Complementing the rich taste of the meats are sides that include coleslaw, mac and cheese, vegetables, smoked beans, dirty rice, and a glass of house-made and freshly brewed iced tea.

Sunday to Thursday - 12:00 PM to 12:00 MN and Friday to Saturday - 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM

I placed an order for delivery When is arrived I thought there must have been a mistake and that food must have been missing The piece of rib was the smallest sorriest pathetic thing I ve ever seen It looked like leftovers from someone s plate The brisket was one mouthful of brisket It was a bit dry but otherwise ok just tiny tiny tiny

Food here was good, price is also reasonable and it s a nice go to spot in Poblacion if you value some comfort for poblacion standards. The only thing keeping from an excellent rating is that the servings are quite small. If still hungry after one...dish just order more, prices justify it anyway.

The food was very well executed. The place is comfortable and while the initial server of our table was quick, as the evening wore on waiters and cashier were not attentive to our request for our bill. The Wild Poppy is on the second floor of a building housing 4 different bar restaurants. There s air conditioned seating, and outdoor seating. The place is small and cozy and perfect for groups of 2 6. We were a group of 8 friends and it was a tight...squeeze when the place got packed, but it didn t get stuffy or too smoky so it was still okay. ... see more

Saw this place and thought we would try it for a casual meal. Food is an Asian fusion of local, Vietnamese and small dishes that are good to share really tasty cuisine.

I love this place I tried the brisquet sandwich and also buffalo wings and they were both great In fact I like it so much that Im going there for lunch again today I just had lunch there yesterday The decor is pretty good too If you want American BBQ then go here

This is place is really great quiet and inexpensive with small Asian style tapas. Don t expect a big meal but the food is delicious and creative. Happy Hour is dirt cheap 6 8 two beers for 75 and the staff are fantastic and...laid back.

The Wild Poppy is co located with Smokeyard, Bucky s, and Alamat in Poblacion, Makati. Had dinner with some friends and sat outside. Their deck is nice, with plants and comfortable benches. The standout dishes were Kim and Reuben, Yaki Tomorokoshi, Chicken Ren Damn (on the bun)...and the pork belly (also on the bun). Crispy string beans also great... see more
