Dulcinea is one of the oldest Spanish restaurants in Manila, started in 1963. The founder Señor Santos Ruano left his grandparent's pasteleria in Spain and traveled to the Philippines. Bringing his grandparent's recipes, Señor Ruano opened up the Dulcinea Pasteleria y salon de Te on Mabini Street in Ermita, which has grown to 15 full-service restaurants nationwide. Aside from their traditional paella and tapas, they're also popular for their Churros Con Chocolate.
Acquired by F&C Group on December 11, 2008 Dulcinea is a 100% company owned preserving authentic Spanish-style dining. It has several branches like Manila, Baguio and Iloilo. The heritage-inspired brand maintains its feel by adhering to traditional Hispanic recipes.
